The Race for an Inclusive Alzheimer's Cure #StopAlz

UsAgainstAlzheimer’s (UsA2) is an innovative and transformational advocacy organization demanding a solution to Alzheimer's. Driven by the suffering of millions of families, UsA2 presses for greater urgency from government, industry, and the scientific community in the quest for an Alzheimer's cure – accomplishing this through effective leadership, strategic investments, and collaborative and inclusive advocacy.

Resendez Strategies worked with UsA2 leadership to develop and launch the LatinosAgainstAlzheimer’s Network to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s devastating impact on the Latino community and to activate key health, community, and policy stakeholders in the organization’s efforts to address Alzheimer’s growing threat to the nation.

As executive director, Jason launched the LatinosAgainstAlzheimer’s Coalition, the nation’s first-ever national coalition of Latino organizations dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease within the Latino community. Jason leads thought leadership, coalition management, issues outreach, and fundraising engagement for the network, helping to secure support from diverse partners around policy, programming, and research priorities, including a $1.25 million grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the launch of "Latinos and Alzheimer's Disease: New Numbers Behind the Crisis," a major research report with the USC Roybal Institute on Aging.
